Maya got her start in casting as an assistant to casting director, Joanna Colbert.

She independently casts short films, web series and music videos as a casting director.

She worked on her first television project when she assisted Angelique Midthunder on A24 and Showtime’s series THE CURSE starring Emma Stone, Nathan Fielder & Benny Safdie; as well as A24’s feature film LOVE LIES BLEEDING starring Kristen Stewart.

Most recently, she was a Casting Associate with Joanna Colbert on feature film THE UNINVITED  starring Walton Goggins, Pedro Pascal and Elizabeth Reaser.
