Maya got her start in casting as an assistant to casting director, Joanna Colbert.

She worked on her first television project assisting Angelique Midthunder on A24 and Showtime’s series THE CURSE starring Emma Stone, Nathan Fielder & Benny Safdie; as well as A24’s feature film LOVE LIES BLEEDING starring Kristen Stewart.

Most recently she worked with Joanna Colbert as a casting associate on feature film, THE UNINVITED  starring Walton Goggins, Pedro Pascal and Elizabeth Reaser.

She independently casts short films and narrative music videos as a casting director and channels her love of storytelling into mediums like writing and photography.
